What we believe…We believe in God the Creator, in Jesus the Saviour and in the Holy Spirit the Comforter. We believe the Bible is the Word of God and we believe that God heals today – body, soul and spirit. We offer healing prayer and a listening ear after most of our services.

About the vicar…David and Jill Munby came to St. Georges in 1988 after 10 years ministry in London. They have brought up their 3 children Jonathan, Joanna and Bethany In Barnsley and are still full of enthusiasm for what God wants to do in Barnsley through St.Georges Church.

David was made a Canon of Bungoma Diocese, Kenya in 2004 and he and Jill make regular visits to Kenya, running conferences for church leaders there. David is Moderator of Christians Together in Barnsley and Chair of Barnsley Street Pastors and longs to see churches working together more to show the people of Barnsley the reality of the love and the power of Jesus Christ.

David and Jill enjoy making and listening to music and walking in the glorious countryside around Barnsley.
